Fun things. . . . . .

I received the most wonderful photos yesterday!  My friend Gigi Ries (http://gigir.canalblog.com/) has so honored me by using my designs and some of Nikki's in a fabulous stitched collage.  I am sure that seeing it in person was thrilling!  Thank you Gigi. . . . . you know how much this meant to me.

Look at the layout and planning that went into this?  I can't image how many hours it took to complete.

I see some of my favorites here. . . . . Pear Tree Inn, Two Red Houses, The Rain Fell, . . . . . . . . .

Yesterday Ron and I took Nikki out to celebrate her birthday.  We had lunch, did a little shopping and had a wonderful time together.  Love you sweetie! (No, we look nothing alike. . . . . . .she looks like her daddy!)  Here we are at lunch with Ron the picture-taker.

Here's Nikki in my favorite store. . . . . Pottery Barn.  We went back here a second time so mom (me) could pick up a little something!  I can always find something I love at Pottery Barn!

Back to work today!   Happy Stitching. . . . . .

  1. Wow! What a beautiful piece! It will remain a treasure for years to come.
I actually think you and your daughter look alot alike in your faces...it's the hair difference that throws us off.

  2. I saw this earlier on Gigi's blog, and I can't even think of a word that would give her enough praise for this project! It is truly a work of art and must be so complimentary to you, the designer of all these lovely stitches.

Nice photo of mother and daughter!

  3. That's a great picture of you and Nikki! You both have the same smile so there is a resemblance.
Gigi's collage is superb! An awful lot of work went into that.
Pottery Barn is one of my favourite places too. Unfortunately the only around me is in Toronto which is 4hrs away so I don't get there very often.

I wish I could go to a Pottery Barn...but it probably would bankrupt me anyway :)

  10. Wow, what a wonderful piece of stitching!
I love both LHN and CCN patterns, I am currently stitching Daisy Lane Cottage after just completing Ice Cream Sundae. I think I am addicted to your beautiful designs as I plan to stitch many more!

Thanks for creating such wonderful patterns.

Wow, that sheet made by Gigi is definately over the top. It is fabulous, it would make a great piece of fabric for quilting projects like a stitching bag and accessories and a quilt back. If you ever decide to get into the fabric manufacturing area I would love to have some. Just a thought.:)
