Gracie

In my opinion there are two types of naughty. . . . . . naughty bad and naughty "that's kinda funny".  Gracie has never been a naughty/bad girl but she has done a few things over the year and a half we have had her that haven't been quite in keeping with the rules of the house.  Every once in a while I'll walk into the living room and see her laying on the ottoman, regal as a queen without a care in the world.   I don't have a good picture of that. . . . yet.  But I did capture something else last evening that never fails to put a smile on my face even though I should be scolding her to get off the patio furniture.  Take a look:

She's camera shy. . . hates looking directly at it.

She maintains her footing perfectly. . . gets up and down as easily as a circus seal on a rubber ball.

Here she is trying to get cozy to lay down. . . . . . she gave up and went back to "perching" on the bench shortly after I took this one.

After her "performance" she cooled off in the grass for all of 60 seconds and wanted in the house.
Me too. . . it was 107 here yesterday.

Happy Stitching,
Diane

  5. Someday...when I get old...I want a Gracie.

OK, maybe something smaller, that doesn't drool, or shed, or.....

Well I talked myself right out of that one.
Seriously, I enjoy having "pets" through my bloggy friends and have always loved the pictures of Gracie as she grows up.

    Thanks for sharing!

  7. Thanks for the great photos. Am a sucker for retrievers. We have two golden labs ourselves. They are our babies. Husband either takes them to a community with a lake or to dog park early (as we live in same city you do) and then bring them home to bath them. They have their own cots and sleep mostly on our bed. Spoiled to the max! But love them tons.

  8. There's a golden at the dog park (Maggie) who always gets up on the table. Drives my Stella crazy!

  9. I was sure my sweet puppy didn't jump on the couch. Until this am, there he was just curled up snoring having the time of his life! He looks so much like Gracie only black with brendle legs. He is a black lab/golden mix. Love our puppies!

  10. She's a beauty - love her color. Our Labs left hair wherever they slept so they couldn't fool us! Once we started using the Furminator, they got away with more.

  14. LOL. But Gracie is such a pretty girl that you can't be angry long. And they just don't believe you when you say "No. Bad dog." and you are saying it with a grin. I know exactly. LOL

Oh and at least Gracie is walking on the patio furniture. Silly Rory still likes to stand on the living room coffee table. :)
