Even though it is as hot as summer, a wee bit of fall decorating is going on at the Williams house. Like many of you we are more than ready for cooler temps. I have two candles burning. . . . . . Frosted Pumpkin and Autumn Pumpkin. Neither smells like pumpkin. I'm out of my favorite, Autumn Harvest. And why did Yankee Candle quit making Cinnamon? They replaced it with Cinnamon Sticks but it just wasn't the same.
I also changed out a few cross stitch pieces on my walls. Right now I'm really wishing I had some smaller autumnal designs stitched for my cubby. Maybe next year. The colors of fall are my favorite for decorating and designing. Now if the temperatures would just dip below 90 I'd be a lot happier!
Happy stitching,
Diane
Autumn is my favorite season too! I like burning candles and decorate with things I find in the woods. There are a lot of bakery factory's where I live, and I wake up with the smell of typical Dutch cinnamon cookies. hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteBeauty abounds at the Williams House :)

fall is my fav season too..here in south africa is spring time..
ReplyDeletehappy fall to all my dear friends xx
Love your table display! Any chance I could get a few degrees of your 90's?
ReplyDeleteTry McCalls Candles 'Country Store' scent. WOW...it's fall in a jar. I love it! I love to burn it while stitching or sewing.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I'll take some cooler temps up here in Utah, I almost turned the AC back on. I was so sad when I was told I needed to stop burning scented candles, since that's one thing that triggers my version of allergy attacks.
ReplyDeleteI don't really do much for fall - by time temperatures did into "fall-like" weather here in north Texas, we are ready to start thinking about Christmas decorating.
ReplyDeleteMy one concession to fall decorating is to put out some pumpkins on the porch a week before Halloween. That's it :)
Love that candle and pennyrug! I just finished my decorating for fall. Each year I add a little bit more. Those candle scents sound good enough to eat! My favourite is Bath & Bodyworks Leaves. It actually smells more like apples cooking to me.
ReplyDeleteI am a "Fall Person" also. And live up in the Phoenix area. And I agree, let's have some cooler weather. It's pretty sad when we are saying it's cooling down when it's 98 outside! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Utah and I really miss the nice fall weather up there. But there are trade offs...my husband says at least we don't have to shovel heat! He's a silly man!
The humidity today in Maine is at 86% and temps in the 80's...blahhh. I am so ready for the crisp fall air. We actually had a frost advisory last week. I enjoy stitching more in the cooler weather. Be sure to post a picture of your cubby once you have it filled with you autumn collection.
ReplyDeleteKeep on stitching. P.J.
