The Cubby

Most of you know my Pottery Barn Cubby.  I am still in love with it and change the little squares out with the seasons.  I put some ornaments in the cubbies before Thanksgiving and took a few photos.  Just like last year, if you look hard, you'll see the last ornament for 2012.  It won't be out for a while but it's a little peek.

It looks like my candy cane came off of my Peppermint Twist ornament!  It wasn't sewn on well and now I'll have to figure out a creative way to attach it.  The silhouette is of my dad when he was a boy.  It's a memento I cherish.

And my Boyd's Bears!  I have a lot of those but these are just some of the wintry ones.

Pottery Barn still carries the cubby so if you are interested you can order it online.  They are awesome for holding small stitching pieces.

Diane

  6. Hi Diane, I love your monthly ornaments and now that we are coming to the end of 2012, I'm hoping you continue to have new ones for 2013. You have such wonderful patterns and I like to stitch smaller size. Ornaments are just the right size. Keep on thinking those happy creative thoughts. ;-)

  7. Dear Diane,
I really can understand your enthusiasm about this wonderful Cubby.
I do own one too ;-)
When I first saw it in your blog I did want to have it immediately - and a friend of mine helped me to get it to Austria. I am soooo happy about it since then.
Your wonderful ornaments fit perfectly in this cubby (and the peek of the last one for 2012 looks adorable)
Thank you for your wonderful designs!

    Hugs from Austria

  10. Hi Diane:
I am also thrilled with my Pottery Barn cabinet. The first time I saw it was in an issue of Country Living with little garden pots/paraphernalia in it (and I wanted it but didn't do anything about it) and then I saw it on your blog filled with other wonderful treasures and ordered it. It was great to have it delivered. It is a great cubby. Thanks for sharing your displays, and for the sneak peak at the last ornament. Your designs are amazing! Wanda

  11. Love the cubby! As soon as I finished reading your post I went on to Pottery Barn and found it. I immediately emailed my kids that this would make a great group BD or Mom's Day present for me. Sure hope I have one by this Spring!

  12. Thank you for all the ornaments! I don't have them all, but I do have several and need to finish stitching them.
I also have some Boyds Bears too!
Looking forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve for 2013-any hints? LOL

  13. I love these cubbies for displaying the ornaments but the shipping to Canada on Pottery Barn is wicked. Then I got thinking. I have some similar shelves which in the past I used to display my cookie stamp collection. Perhaps I could reinvent them for my ornaments!

Hi Diane, I just found your blog and love it!! I've seen this cubby in the PB catalog and have wanted one to use in my sewing/quilt room for fabric and supplies but hadn't taken the time to order one. Well, you have just sold me on the cubby for sure but now it will hold the ornaments and wont be hidden in my sewing room!
