Sweets for the sweet!

Vanilla and Chocolate. . . . .is there a better combination?  Well maybe. . . . . how about a little strawberry added in?  Valentines Day is next month so we've released a sweet design to treat yourself to.

Vanilla and Chocolate

Mary Kathryn (of Impie, Hattie and Bea) and I collaborated on the finish to provide you with a new and wonderful way to store your working stitching threads.  Stitch the design and sew it to the outside cover of the "Thread Armoire".  Your hand dyed threads attach beautifully to the rings inside and lay perfectly smooth.  She has even provided a place to park your needle.  This is such a practical way to store your current stitching threads.  I'm already using mine and I love it!

I neglected to post a photo of the new Hoffman Exclusive kit that was released right after the first of the year.  The sheep are monopolizing my time!  So here it is. . . . ."Birdhouse Alphabet."  Along with the chart you get the silk (Belle Soie) and buttons.  Aren't those buttons adorable????  I think the corners on the frame are a perfect match!

So the web site is updated with supplies for the above charts and also, for the second sheep, Love.  And, because you asked, there are a few added details on the newly created link for the Hometown Holiday line.  You can find the link under the "Cross Stitch Charts" tab.

Happy Stitching,
Diane

Traveling Stitcher

The answer is YES!  I double checked with Mary Kathryn at Impie, Hattie and Bea and there are more sets of the pouch and needlebook.  This pattern is currently seeing a second life (that happens) and I know there are people looking for the matched set for this design.  This is not the original fabric seen in the photo but is from the same Moda line.   You can get information at http://www.impiehattiebea.com/ .  I have a few sets and keep different projects in each.  And YES. . . . . the pattern is still readily available as well.

You know the saying. . . . . . everything old is new again!

Traveling Stitcher Accessories

Look at what I found in my mailbox!  Mary Kathryn at Impie, Hattie and Bea mailed me a new set (and one extra pouch) of the new set of "Traveling Stitcher: Accessories.  They are simply beautiful.  A set includes a pouch and needlebook.  The fabrics are perfectly suited to the pattern (which is still available!).  They are out now so ask your shop owner if you are interested in a set.

Scissor Mattress and Pin Pillow

You have probably seen this cute project on my web site by now.  Let me tell you a little about it.  This adorable mattress by Impie, Hattie and Bea is fiber-filled and has a layer of shells on the bottom for stability.  There is a small pillow attached that actually looks like a pillow with a pillowcase.  Use this for your pins.  The pattern I designed creates the coverlet that you attach on three sides.  Leave the top open for the scissors.  I purchased little mini tassels for the corners but you could add beads or even trim to the four corners.  There is also a pattern included for the scissor fob.  Mary Kathryn at IH&B made a lot of these scissor mattresses but it isn't an unlimited supply. . . . .just so you know!

Once again I have a very special project that will be available through Hoffman Distributing at the Nashville Needlework Market in February.  The design is called "Needle and Thread" and will be featured on a very unique accessory from Impie, Hattie and Bea with Crescent Colours thread.  It's adorable . . . . a project I'm sure you'll love.  More information will be available in the weeks ahead.
