I was at Barnes and Noble this morning and came across this in the magazine section . . . .
Country Home! The title caught my eye because they folded the magazine in 2009 and finished my subscription to it with a magazine I never would have ordered on my own. Anyway. . . . . I peeked inside and sure enough, it's back in publication. . . . .sort of. It looks like they'll put out a quarterly issue and the theme will change a bit in each one. This appears to be the first issue so if you are a keeper of that type of thing you better find your copy. I
really missed this magazine and I'll bet I'm not the only one. :)
I loved that magazine too! I'm glad to see it's back. Hopefully they can continue and make it monthly again.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize it had gone out of publication - I used to be a subscriber a number of years ago. I've seen it on the newsstand at my local Walmart recently, although the one I saw had a different cover.
ReplyDeleteI remember feeling the same way you did when Victoria magazine went out of print - I was thrilled when it came back into print :)
I felt just the same way about Victoria as you did Susan. I'm keeping all of them this time around!
ReplyDeleteI was in B&N Saturday night (that's where my husband and I go for date nights... aren't we just the happening couple? lol!) and noticed the same thing. I couldn't believe it because I was also disappointed when they dropped it and they gave me some magazine that I didn't want in its place. I was thumbing through the magazine and it just wasn't the same though. The cover looks the same, but the inside was filled with different decorating styles. It was odd for me.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I came across your blog from the website. I love to blog and so glad I came across yours! Have a delightful day!
Thats looks a great magazine. We don't know it here in the Netherlands, but I think we going to miss a beautiful magazine :)
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be looking for an issue. Yes, I ended up with a year of Ladies Home Journal also, and I forget what they substituted my Victoria with.
