This is such a fun month of releases! The second Little Sheep Virtue pattern is called "Love" and features two sheep. I think you can see how the designs change, the sheep change, the heart(s) in the design change and so on as we move along. "Love" was the last model mom stitched so it is a really special to me.
Next is the new series, Hometown Holiday featuring the design called "My House." We've included an alphabet for personalizing and a tutorial on our web site for making the cubes. I will be showing an advance photo some time soon of building #2, "Main Street Station" so that you can see more than one piece in the series at a time in a photo.
Next is a really big design called "Orchard Valley Quilting Bee" which was stitched by Vonna whom you all know! I think it was a labor of love. At least I hope so. It's one of those feel-good designs that remind us of simple times and days gone by.
As I was designing I saw the possibility of stitching the "smalls" within the design or combining a few to create a completely different horizontal chart. I'm sure many of you are thinking the same thing!
Happy Stitching,
Diane
You did a great job with these. I hve mine ordered already. Can't wait till they are here. I esp. love the Orchard Valley quilting bee because besides a cross stitcher I'm a quilter so this one I had to stitch !!
ReplyDeleteAll three designs are terrific. Vonna did a fantastic job on the quilting pattern. They all look like "must haves"!
ReplyDeleteI haven't quit drooling since I saw the first peeks at these! They're all just lovely Diane. I know it will be April before I can receive them here in Canada. I'm so anxious to get started!
ReplyDeleteI love them all! Big surprise, huh? ;-)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty releases. Why can't I clone myself so I can stitch all your designs quicker? I really love the Orchard Valley Quilting Bee, it combines my love of quilting and cross stitching and is a must have piece for me.
ReplyDeleteALL are perfectly wonderful Diane! And no labor at all, just LOVE <3

I just get a notice that my charts are on the way to me and I was wondering .... is 1 skein of each color DMC enough to stitch the Orchard Valley Quilting Bee ?
ReplyDeleteYou will need two 3012 and two of 420.
DeleteThanks !

ReplyDeleteAre there finishing instructions for the Sheep Virtue? What size wool is needed ?
ReplyDeleteThe wool size, 6-1/2" square is on the pattern. The finishing is a simple pillow with a blanket stitch around the outside. Vonna says she is preparing a short tutorial. :)
